Protected Harvest is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing and certifying the use of environmentally and economically sustainable agriculture practices through the development of stringent, transparent and quantifiable standards, incentive-based eco-labeling and public education.

Transparent
An independent third-party inspector completes field-by-field annual audits of participating growers. Based on this information, each field either receives or is denied certification. Each packer or handler of the crop must also undergo a chain-of-custody audit that follows the crop from field to retail, ensuring the integrity of Protected Harvest’s certification. Our standards are available to the public, and undergo peer review by farmers, scientists, and environmentalists.
