Cliff Ohmart is Research/IPM Director for the Lodi-Woodbridge Winegrape Commission where he is helping California winegrape growers implement sustainable farming practices. He has a Bachelor’s degree in forestry from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry and a Ph.D. in entomology from the University of California Berkeley. He was a principal research scientist for the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization in Australia for 13 years working in forest pest management. From 1989 to 1995 he worked for Scientific Methods, Inc. in Chico, CA helping growers develop integrated pest management programs for almonds, walnuts, prunes, pistachios, and apples.
